When searching for wire book easels at www.thelibrarystore.com  use the phrasing:  hinged wire easels
Then all their options will come up.  Often the prices will be cheaper if you call in your order vs. what is online so try calling in your order.  We recommend black easels vs. white as they will look nicer for years.  The set-up time is a little bit more, but we still recommend individual book easels vs. Fixturecraft racks as then people see the whole cover of the book - a title to catch their eye as they are walking past and draw them in to your booth - vs. a sea of color on multiple table-top racks. (Ex: look at what a book store does for their displays - they aren't putting a fixturecraft rack in their store windows full of books to catch people's attention)

We recommend the hinged easel with lip if you are looking for an easel to hold several copies of books.  Get the 3-wire for tall books and 2-wire for short books.  These easels with a lip work really well for our hardcover reading series books, picture books, beginner's and first picture series as you can put 2-4 titles in each easel.

For our tall/wide books we would recommend the 3-wire hinged easel - large.  Because of the larger base it helps hold our big encyclopedias better.  Also, because it does not have a "lip" it is nice to use for flexi-bindings so people can open the cover freely - vs. them bending open the top corner of the book and making a crease in its cover! :-)  This easel cannot hold multiple copies but it will help prevent damage.  Use this easel for our Illustrated Dict of Math and Science, Big Book of Fairy Things to Make & Do, our hardcover Encyclopedias, World Wars, Fairytale Sticker Stories c/v, Complete Book of FYT, Complete Book of the Human Body, Science Things to Make & Do, Big Book of Picture Puzzles, Wildlife Search, Fantasy Quests, Mazes c/v, Dot-to-Dot c/v, Sticker Dolly c/v's, - basically any wide book, anything w/a flexi-binding and even for our paperback c/v's.  Put your stack of c/v's on your "specials" table with your "demo" copy in this easel with the new great c/v signs sticking out of it.

The Sunshine Team just wrapped up the MN State Fair last week with FOUR people recruited AT the booth (and many more later).  Plus, we had a $1,500 INCREASE in sales over last year - even with not being able to sell YBCR the last two days.  Besides that the Sunshine Team is absolutely awesome at selling and recruiting... ;-)  we'll be sharing to the superloop later some hints/ideas of what we learned to help increase sales/recruiting.  Along with some ideas of how to increase sales w/o the YBCR high ticket item.  In the meantime, you can feel free to access the booth training I did at the Nat'l Convention in 2007 at: http://www.usborne-training.com/usborne-booths.htm

Hope that helps. :-)

I was wondering if you think I would more often prefer to have the 2-wire hinged easels with a lip or just the standard (no lip)?

I use different kinds of easels for each application - so I have all kinds of easels.  The easels with a lip can just hold one title - but the standard (no lip) cannot hold more than one.  So perhaps getting ones with a lip would be more versatile.

Have you ever used the 3-wire double deck easel?

Yes - they don't work!  So don't get them. :-)

Do you think the 2-wire hinged easel - wide would be a good choice for the Complete Book of Farmyard Tales or the Usborne Books of Bible Stories w/CD?

Absolutely!   You don't need the 3-wire for the shorter books but if you want less options to store you can fold down the 3-wire when using with shorter books - that is what we do.

And, when you get the 3-wire hinged easel-large, do you always get the standard one?  no lip?

I have not ever gotten the one with a lip - but from the picture it looks like it would not be wide enough for the hardcover Science Ency or FYT c/v.  And I think it would create damage to the books because people would not be as careful trying to fit it such a fat book as you would be.

Hope that helps.
