Hints on Selling & Recruiting
at Booth Events
by Becky Dean

In order to recruit, have your focus always be on recruiting!
Utilize recruiting flyers as "bag stuffers" and flyers customers can grab if interested.

We have already paid the artwork/set-up fee charges for
the flyers, business card and signs pictured above/below.

Thus, if you want to get the same thing personalized for yourself,
just contact Moxie Media to order and it would be cheaper for you.
Call: 320-587-0587 or  866-824-1710
and let them know what you were interested in ordering to get pricing.

Have Recruiting Signs Visibly Posted in Your Booth!

This is a large sign we had Moxie Media make and had hanging at the back of our booth.

This is a small 8 1/2 x 11 inch sign we created and had laminated.  This was also posted on each end-cap.

We recommend getting your own banners made up for booths that say Usborne Books all the way across it.
That way people can see at a glance what you are selling/promoting.

We got our banners made up with a "sleeve" on the top and bottom so we could
insert in a 1x8 piece of wood to help keep the banner flat.

We recommend using yellow skirting under HO tablecloths to put the logo at a readable level and to add color.

If you have a large booth - have a "specials" table in the middle where you feature
our combined volumes as your "specials" or "sale items".
Use the combined volume flyers from Home Office!! :-)

This idea is from supervisor, Tracey Boraas -
Use pegboard and quality hooks (from Lowe's) vs. a kid kit rack.
It is less "eye-poking and it's a very flat display so can utilize otherwise wasted space.
In our booth they covered the huge cement posts w/o sticking too far out into the booth.
(they were just wired onto the posts to stay up)

Having the excavated dino's assembled and the rubble leftover displayed, helps sell the Dino Excavation Kits.
We add the dot-to-dot dinosaur sticker book to the Triceratops KK
and the Dinosaurs Next Door book to the Stegosaurus KK - selling all three kits for $19.99 each.
We are in the book business so we choose to only sell kits with books in them.
It also raises the price to help increase sales and cover booth fees.
Just add the book included to your re-pricing sticker.

HINT - displaying the Triceratops/Stegosaurus "backwards"
helps sell those kits better and it more representative of its actual contents.
