Vision without action is merely a dream...

Maybe you can see where an Usborne business can take you.  You can see the big picture.
You set big goals of becoming debt-free - or building a new home - or of moving out to the country - or of going to the Mayan Riviera w/the latest Usborne travel contest.

But... if you are not working your Usborne business PERSISTENTLY and CONSISTENTLY, those dreams will never become a reality.  They are, in fact, merely a fleeting dream.

OR, maybe you are working your business - you DO have the action.  You are booking parties, doing booths, S&L sales...

Several people start out this way - excited and full of action - maxing out in the One Step at a Time awards program.  But then all of a sudden you hit a slump (and we ALL do!!).  Now if you have not caught the vision you are likely to quit saying... "well, it just doesn't work for me".  You give up because you do not have the VISION.

Or, you never recruit.  You don't even share the Usborne opportunity at your parties!  Why? 
Because you have not caught the vision!!  And action without vision just passes the time!

BUT...  IF you have Vision WITH Action, you can change the world!!

I first caught the vision over 8 years ago when I attended a regional meeting as a brand- new consultant.  I saw all these moms just like me that were very successful.  At one of their presentations, I caught the vision of where Usborne Books at Home could take me and it has made all the difference in the world on why...

   * I continued with my Usborne business through the tough times
   * Why I took the actions I did with my Usborne business
   * And why I am seeing my dreams becoming a reality today!!
 

So what is the VISION??

Let’s first look at a traditional business model so we have something to compare it to. 
In a traditional business model in corporate America you have a:

 Who’s the “boss”?  The CEO/owner!

So then you decide to start your own business so you can be the “boss”! 
So how does that business model compare?  Usually it starts out with:

Because there is such a huge start-up cost, you are just trying to make ends meet.  Your original reason for starting your own business was because you want FREEDOM and more time for YOU!  Like to be able to take a vacation when you wanted – but the reality is that now you are working 70-80 hours a week and if you take a vacation, that means that you have to save TWICE as much money!!  FIRST, to pay for the vacation and NEXT to pay for the income that you’ll lose when you are on vacation!!  There is no such thing as a “paid vacations”!!

So after killing yourself working, you decide to hire some employees to free up some of your time.

Network Marketing is a win-win-win-win business model for everyone involved.  And all that it takes is to start recruiting.  Recruiting is really no different then telling your friends about a good movie or restaurant you've discovered.

An enormous percentage of people in network marketing quit the 1st year because they learned the ACTION but never realized the VISION!

Most importantly, however, is the statistics industry-wide - of those that remain in the same network marketing company for 10 years or longer, 95% of them become wealthy BEYOND their WILDEST expectations! - 1

I had a dream when I first started with UBAH, just to earn free books - and with ACTION I achieved that dream!

this is a way I can get out of this cramped house in the worst neighborhood in town and build a new home in the country.

I had a dream of having Usborne Books be our FAMILY business - to have the FLEXIBILITY and FREEDOM for BOTH my husband and I.  And with ACTION, my husband and I had UBAH as our ONLY source of income in October of 2002!

Then my husband was called out of the inactive reserves in July of 2003, and was going to Kosovo - but then it was switched to Germany.  That was GREAT because another of my dreams was to go back to Germany when our children were older.  (we were there in '97-'98 for 7 months but our four kids were only 3-8 years old so they didn't remember much)  But now they are 9 to 14 years old so this military reactivation was actually a blessing in disguise.

So I had a DREAM of going back to Germany with our kids and with ACTION...

I had a HUGE S&L sale in August - with the commission from that sale, the kids and I were able to purchase plane tickets for Germany.  We have been living here since September, enjoying the wonderful opportunities here.  UBAH is very flexible and w/o territories, so I can bring my business overseas and keep in touch using the internet.

It is extremely expensive to travel in Europe - especially when you have FOUR children!! 

But with our UBAH income we have been able to go to:

        The Black Forest

        Bavaria

        Paris to climb the Eifel tower and visit the Louve

        Venice where we took a gondola ride

        Prague in the Czech Republic
        w/its St. Charles Bridge and marionette opera

        Amsterdam to see the Anne Frank House

        Haarlem to visit the Corrie TenBoom museum and the Hiding Place,

        We saw WWII bunkers along the beach in the Netherlands
        and waded in the North Sea,

        We all flew to London and saw Big Ben,
        the Egyptian artifacts in the British museum and many
        other things, including a tour of Usborne Publishing offices,

        and while I was at the MEGA-Regional,
        my husband took the boys skiing in the Alps!! 

WOW!!

This is not something even in my wildest dreams, that I ever thought we would be able to afford to do for our children!!

I still continue w/UBAH because I have still MORE Dreams!!

I have an Usborne Dream of...  making a 6-digit income after being in Usborne for 10 years.

I have an Usborne Dream of...  becoming Debt-Free!

I have an Usborne Dream of...  building a gym for our church one day. 
You can do so much more if you are wealthy!  We were able to give thousands of dollars away this past year and when we become debt-free we can do even more and help more people!!

I have an Usborne Dream of...  building a barn and getting a couple of horses when we get back from Germany - in fact, my daughter, Sarah, has already bought her saddle and tack on Ebay!

I have an Usborne Dream of...  visiting even MORE places in Europe!  I still would like to take our children to see...

Poland
Rome
Switzerland
And many more places and castles in Germany!!

So catch the VISION - DREAM BIG!!

Combine that with ACTION and you will be able to LIVE your DREAMS and change YOUR world!

“The grass is always greener, til it’s time to mow…  Those of us who have been in this industry for many years have learned a very real success principle:  perseverance.  Distributors who have stayed with one company for many years, and built new legs in each of those years, are now very wealthy.  Those who think the grass is greener soon learn that true, lasting wealth can only be achieved through long-term participation in one company.   …every time they start over, they are hurting their reputation just a little bit more and distancing themselves from wealth one more time.  Unless you pick a real dud of an MLM company, it’s possible to do well in any number of them.  The key to success is to stop jumping ship and stick with one.”
